Pre-wash - A PH neutral snow foam applied to the vehicle to breakdown and loosen contaminants on the paint without touching it.

Three bucket (safe) contact wash – A process of removing any remaining dirt after a pre-wash without inflicting any paint damage. Separate buckets (wheel bucket, soap bucket and rinse bucket) with grit guards to trap dirt and prevent it being re-applied to the vehicle.

Fallout  / Industrial particle removal – A PH neutral chemical process to safely remove any imbedded iron particles, mostly invisible, from the wheels and paint. (Thioglycolic acid turns iron FE2 particles to water soluble FE3 particles) These particles are thrown up from the braking action of vehicles and also present in the air from industry.

Clay bar – A specially formulated clay rubbed across a vehicles paint with lubrication to remove bonded contaminants. Only performed before a machine polishing as paint marring may occur.

LSP or Last Step Product – A wax or sealant applied to a clean vehicle after a decontamination and wash process.

Marring – Fine scratches and swirling in the paint inflicted through poor contact wash practices or any other method of friction trapping dirt against painted surfaces.

Self-cleaning – A slick surface that stops dirt and contaminants bonding to the paintwork easily, leaving your car cleaner for longer.

Organic Pollution – Tree sap, bird droppings, mineral deposits and similar on the vehicles exterior.
